Royal Artillery and London Regiment?
I'm trying to piece together a relatives movements, so that they can fill in the gaps in their families history.The family member is my Grandfather. I have copies of all his military records, I would like to know where he was during is time in the military but it is difficult for me to fully understand his records .Therefore I will list as follows the pieces I can pick out from the papers in the hope that someone can enlighten me:

The heavy artillery was manned by units of the Royal Garrison Artillery (RGA).
Your Grandad served in various locations as a Royal Garrison Artillery Driver (Middlesex Regiment), before becoming a Royal Artillery Gunner and being posted to India.

Heavy gun batteries were at the time attached to each infantry division, your Grandads Infantry Division was the Middlesex Regiment, which later went on to become the Queens Regiment before being amalgamated in to the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment (PWRR).

Your Grandad served in the heavy artillery unit of the Middlesex Regiment as a driver and mustered gunner, before becoming a posted gunner with the Royal Artillery. At the time the RGA were being absorbed back in to the Royal Artllery, as opposed to being part of the infantry divisions, so this might explain his time in the Middlesex Regiment RGA and the Royal Artillery.
Mill Hill in North London was still used until recently as a Military Postal Sorting Office, but at the time was obviously the Middlesex Regiment Barracks.
Bty = Artillery Battery (the equivalent of an infantry company)

This merely indicate the units and depots your Grandad was attatched too.
It should also be noted that in terms of the Royal Artillery the term 'Med' means Medium, so he served in both the 14th & 15th Medium Batteries - Medium being the gun type.
