I got a parakeet with no stripes..?
Okay, here is the deal. About a year or 2 ago, I bought a girl parakeet named Dixie. Well, you know how parakeets have a lot of stripes if they are young? Well, DIxie has non what so ever. She is solid white with patches of blue and yellow. I noticed barely a stripe on the side of her head so is this just because of her color or is she really old?

Dani i am an Australian budgie breeder & many of my chicks and their parents are bluebodies with pure white wings/back & heads while others are pure yellow body/back/heads with yellow & brown wings. I have bred chicks that are blue & white with yellowfaces but no wing,head or back markings. Your bird will be the same colar all its life & is probably still young & able to breed .
Dixie must be very good looking. She probably like some spinage, green seeding grasses,cooked carrots,corn,peas for a treat.
