With pants/trousers that are designed to fade, will hanging them inside out for washing/drying prevent fading?
If you buy a pair of pants/trousers that have on the tag "designed to fade"
Will hanging them inside out, when washing and then drying outside on the clothes line prevent fading?
Their like cotton chinos I think - black.
It would slow it down a bit as would washing in cold water on the gentle cycle. The less the fabric is "messed" with, the less it will fade.
And you could try setting the color with white vinegar, shouldn't hurt them at all. Add a couple cups to plain water and allow to soak a bit, then a short wash and rinse.
