What are the showers like in navy basic training?
I heard rumors that in Navy basic training you only get like 4 to 5 minutes to take a shower. is that really true?
There are a lot of guys who need to take showers. They are on a pretty tight schedule. You don't take half-hour showers... luxuriate under the hot water because if feels good. You get in, you get out as fast as possible. Five minutes? I don't remember... maybe... If you dawdle, you're going to make somebody angry. Besides, it's training. Sometimes aboard ship the use of water's restricted.
Nobody stands there with a stopwatch, if that's what you mean. But, you do shower quickly.
