A flag in a war?
I bought a musette from a military surplus store and inside the bag it had a 48 star flag and, its either a japanese or chinese handkerchief. But what i want to know is what war is that flag most likley from, what war was that man in that had that flag. And if you dont know hawaii and alaska became states in 1959.
It's not specifically from any war, though WWI, WWII, and Korea fall into the time frame that that would have been the nation's flag. (1912--AZ, 48th state to 1959--AK, 49th state)
Jiven the handkerchief, I'd say WWII is likely, but Korea is still possible. Any clue on the manufacture of the musette?
