A friend was arrested for fighting at school and running from the cop. wat will happen now?
He is 17, turning 18 in Feb. and is currently on probation (for fighting in the past) They arrested him and took him to juvenile hall and has a court hearing tomorrow. what will most likely be the result at the hearing? will they let him out? or keep him there? for how long? and who can attend the hearing?
It depends on where you are as laws differ from state to state, but I think he can expect some sort of serious punishment for this. I am a lawyer in Australia, and if this was happening here, I should think that because of his previous record, he'd be sent back to juvenile for anything from 2 weeks to a few months (possibly 6, but it doesn't seem quite that serious). probably 2-3 months... So he'd be eligible to get out halfway through his sentence, maybe a bit later... It will do him good...
They might pass down the sentence then let your friend go, setting a date that he has to be back in juvenile by, or they might just take him straight there from the court house. Anyone should be able to attend the hearing...
