Are mounted cavalry still used for combat?

Are there more horse cavalry units around the globe that are trained to fight?
That's not a cavalry unit; they are regular infantry who are using horses in very remote areas for patrols inside Indonesia (a horse can go places no vehicle ever could). Indonesia doesn't use horses in combat. Nobody does any more.
However, both the Chinese and Indians use mounted units for border patrols in very remote areas with little or no transport infrastructure. Again, a horse can go places no vehicle can, and they don't need a supply line of petrol and spare parts. And they don't need maintenance either. And it's easier and cheaper to train someone to ride a horse than fly a helicopter. In places far for existing infrastructure, that kind of thing REALLY matters.
